Academic Activity Grants
Do you have an idea for a graduate event? MSGR Academic Activity Grants aim to provide encouragement and financial support for individuals or groups of graduate students to organise academic activities such as academic conferences and symposia, visual exhibitions, music recitals, seminars and visiting speakers. Designed to support student initiative, this scheme facilitates graduate involvement in a range of academic and cultural activities that will enhance the experience of graduate study at the University of Melbourne. In addition to funding activities to build graduate communities, the scheme provides graduates with valuable experience in event organisation and grant application writing.
Academic Activity Grants of up to $1500 are awarded in two rounds each year. Applications are now closed. The funding can be used to cover the costs of printing, promotion, travel expenses and honoraria for visiting speakers, equipment hire, display material and catering for your event (as a limited proportion of total budget).
